Fact 1: Jesus Christ is the only Saviour

John 14:6. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me

John 10:9. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

Acts 4:10-12. Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved

  • According to John 14:6, how many ways are there to the Father? From the passage: There is only one way, and that is Jesus Christ.
  • Who is the only door that we can go through to be saved? The only door that we can go through to be saved is Jesus Christ.
  • What is the only Name under heaven given among men whereby we might be saved? according to Acts 4:10-12 The only Name given under heaven among men whereby we might be saved is Jesus Christ.

Fact 2: Jesus Christ died and rose again for our salvation.

Romans 4:25. Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

2 Corinthians 5:15. And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

  • The Lord Jesus was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for (on account of) our justification. We have already studied the death of Christ.

1 Thessalonians 4:14. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

1 Corinthians 15:1-4. Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

  • A true Christian is one who believes that Jesus died and rose again.
  • According to Romans 10:9, what must we believe in our hearts in order to be saved? (That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved). We must believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, in order to be saved.
