We are meditating on the topic: What can God's precious Word do for me?
It is able to keep me on God’s path
Let's see 2 Timothy 3:16.
The KJV says:
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness
The NIV says:
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.
The Message Translation says:
Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another—showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God’s way.
Amplified Classic says:
Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God’s will in thought, purpose, and action).
We see from Scripture that God's Word is all I need to keep me on God's path. God's Word has the ability to do this.
I am reminded of the Scripture in 2 Corinthians 3:18 (And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit.)
